Algiers Metro Map

The Algiers Metro is the rapid transit system serving Algiers, the capital of Algeria. It currently consists of one operational line with extensions under construction. The system began operation in 2011 after decades of planning and construction. As of 2023, the operational network spans approximately 18.5 kilometers with 19 stations and serves about 200,000 passengers daily. The Algiers Metro is the second metro system in Africa after Cairo's, and it plays a crucial role in alleviating traffic congestion in the densely populated capital city.
