The Los Angeles Metro Rail is the urban rail system serving Los Angeles County, California, operated by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). It consists of two subway lines (B and D) and four light rail lines (A, C, E, and K). The system began operation in 1990 with the opening of the Blue Line (now A Line). As of 2023, the network spans approximately 98 miles (158 kilometers) with 93 stations and serves about 300,000 passengers daily, making it the third-busiest light rail system in the United States.
